Rural Aid Volunteers roll into Walgett

After completing a series of facilitated workshops with community members and industry leaders in November 2020, an Action Plan has been formulated and will lead the direction for the Project:

On Sunday 23rd May Rural Aid’s Farm Army of Volunteers (over 30) rolled into Walgett and spent a week completing maintenance projects as outlined by the Action Plan.

Volunteers spent a week in the town bringing a welcome financial injection to the town’s local businesses.

Rural Aid chief executive officer Charles Alder said “the initiative lifted morale and injected much-needed capital into the local community.”
