History

Holdmark has transformed many of Sydney’s urban landscapes to quality living, working and playing environments.

HOLDMARK BEGINS

The Origin Story

Sarkis Nassif migrated to Australia from Lebanon and found work on construction sites in Western Sydney.

Two years later Sarkis bought his first site in Concord West. He turned this into 20 apartments, acting as a form worker, steel fixer and civil contractor on site.

The Holdmark trajectory was underway.

FIRST PROJECT

George Street, North Strathfield

Holdmark’s first major residential masterplan was a significant turning point.

The purpose-built facility in Strathfield was also the first in an enduring partnership with Australia’s Department of Defence.

FIRST MIXED USE PRECINCT

Auburn Central

A shopping centre with commercial suites and residential apartments in Auburn Central, signalled further diversification for the business.

FIRST COMMUNITY PRECINCT

Shepherds Bay Oxford

After acquiring a riverfront site in Shepherds Bay, we began bringing our vision for a masterplanned community of 2,500 dwellings to life.

FIRST INDUSTRIAL PROJECT

Knorr-Bremse, Clyde

A purpose built manufacturing facility for Knorr-Bremse in Clyde marked Holdmark’s move into industrial assets. The business also began diversifying into other investments, including retail, commercial and agriculture.

Air, St Leonards

We commenced work on Air St Leonards, our first high-rise mixed use residential and hotel precinct.
