Western Sydney Breakfast
Holdmark was pleased to sponsor the Property Council’s Western Sydney Breakfast, joining a broad cross-section of industry professionals at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta.
The event brought together leaders from across the construction, development and certification sectors for an important discussion on the future of building in New South Wales. Holdmark’s Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Nassif, represented the organisation on a panel alongside other respected industry figures, contributing valuable insights into the evolving landscape.
A highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by the NSW Building Commissioner. The address marked a significant moment in the ongoing transformation of the state’s building and construction industry. The Commissioner’s message reinforced the importance of collaboration between government and industry to achieve outcomes.
The Commissioner also provided insight into upcoming legislative reforms, including the anticipated Building Productivity Reforms. These efforts are designed to support the delivery of well-built homes while helping the sector meet the state’s ambitious housing targets.
Following the keynote address, a panel of industry leaders explored what this reform agenda means in practice. The discussion offered a grounded perspective on how regulatory changes are being implemented and experienced across the industry. Panel members shared insights into the realities of development, construction and certification, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges that come with adapting to a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.
