85 Macquarie Street Opening
Located in the heart of Parramatta’s CBD, just steps away from the new light rail, is Holdmark’s 85 Macquarie St; our newest commercial and retail building.
Holdmark celebrated the opening of our latest boutique offering on 23 May 2024.
Joining us at the opening were guest speakers, NSW Finance Minister Courtney Houssos, Federal MP for Parramatta Dr Andrew Charlton, Deputy Lord Mayor City of Parramatta, Patricia Prociv, Executive Director Business Western Sydney, David Borger and Commonwealth Bank’s General Manager Commercial Banking NSW, Arnab Paul.
Our Premium-Grade 11-storey building boasts over 12,000 square meters of commercial, retail and hospitality space. Its innovative design has earned it a 5 Green Star Rating Design and a 5.5 NABERS Energy Rating, making it eco-conscious from design to delivery and throughout its future life-cycle.
With thoughtfully designed active connections to 5 Parramatta Square, the QUAD retail precinct at the base of our building, offers a curated selection of shops that spill out into the surrounding laneways, creating a bustling and vibrant atmosphere and safe walking connections.
Built on Burramattagal and Dharug Country, the building celebrates and educates the community of native heritage and the development of the diverse cultures in Parramatta. Our Public Art commission titled “Same, Same, Different” by Indigenous Studio 500 Voices includes 11 words and 76 Symbols from different cultures carved into Australian sandstone, across from a 30-metre-long Indigenous mural that references the Dharug Nations creation story.
Critical to the continued evolution of Parramatta as a pillar of Western Sydney’s contribution to the State’s economy, is the return of major business to the city.
After almost a decade away from Parramatta, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia will return, as our anchor tenant, boosting the Western Sydney economy.
“85 Macquarie will stand out as one of the key hallmarks of a quality building with a quality tenant, driving the future of Parramatta forward.” – Tom Forrest, CEO Urban Taskforce Australia
Through meticulous planning to meet the demands of future Parramatta, 85 Macquarie St goes beyond the typical commercial space to deliver a community hub that benchmarks urban transformation and creates a cohesive, well-planned productive and inspiring work environment.
The Turner Architects building design features expansive floorplates bathed in natural light and western-facing balconies to create a productive work environment. This translates to happier, more engaged tenants, further contributing to the overall energy of the precinct.
